Standard Motors


General description

The classic standard motor consists up to its technical improvement in efficiency class IE3 of an asynchronous motor. Many millions of these motors have been and are still being built and sold. They meet with cheap production costs and high reliability important standard tasks. Smaller motor powers are directly connected to the mains, larger motors receive line start or frequency inverters.


Super Premium Standard Motors IE4

With the introduction of IE4 efficiency class in the draft norm IEC 60034-30-2 the law states a further reduction of losses in standard-motors  to save more precious energy that is lost in the conversion of electrical to mechanical. In the present state asynchronous standard motors can be replaced by synchronous motors by new materials, existing technical know-how and experience of line production. The loss of engine power is reduced to about half.

The motor series MPM (Merkes Permanentmagnet Motor) takes up the basic physical principle of the synchronous motor and combines it with other elements of a proven principle motor serial production:
